Italian translation services provider Agostini Associati has translated the Giro d`Italia website in real time from Italian into English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch for the 9th year in a row.
The Giro d’Italia is one of the world’s most important cycling events, second only to the Tour de France. For the ninth consecutive year, RCS and Gazzetta dello Sport (the most important Italian sports newspaper) have entrusted Italian translation services provider Agostini Associati with the real-time translation of the daily stages of the Giro d’Italia from 4 to 30 May into five different languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch. This last language has been introduced this year probably because the Giro began in the Dutch city of Amsterdam, where half million bicycles were ready to welcome the riders and teams.
For the entire duration of the Giro d’Italia, Agostini Associati, the leading Italian translation services provider, has translated in real time the articles written by the Gazzetta dello Sport correspondents at the end of each stage, using its in-house team of native speakers for each of the five languages.
Agostini Associati has also created a custom-made cycling terminology platform for the Giro, thoroughly researched beforehand and faithfully maintained throughout the competition. Agostini Associati’s professional translators have several years of experience in sport translations, a guarantee of the high quality of the translations and the absence of stylistic or terminological errors that may stand out to a knowledgeable reader. Agostini Associati has also provided linguistic support during the stages themselves, prior to the writing and translating phase.
